2013 passed remarkably fast, and there is so much I am grateful for: family, friends and the wonderful feedback I continued to receive from readers. 2013 was also a pivotal year for me, as it was the first full year with writing as my primary occupation.

It seems that the calculated risk I took to focus on my writing paid off. 2013 ended on a very exciting note! I signed a two-book contract with Harlequin Enterprises. Both books will be for Harlequin Heartwarming, a series specifically created for readers who enjoy wholesome, tender stories.

The news just gets better, as I am incredibly fortunate to be able to work with two of the most exceptional ladies in the business: Paula Eykelhof and Victoria Curran. Paula is Executive Editor, Single Titles, and the force behind many of today's most popular women's fiction authors. She is my editor! Victoria is Senior Editor, Heartwarming and Gold Eagle. It is under her leadership that Heartwarming has become such a remarkable success in a short period of time. I owe Victoria and Paula sincere thanks for giving me this opportunity to work with them and the rest of the amazing Harlequin Heartwarming team. I feel priviledged to be able to join the long list of remarkable Harlequin authors.

One of the two books will be a Christmas release, and I recently delivered the manuscript to Paula. It's been great fun working on the manuscript this past Christmas. The time of the year was certainly inspirational!
